SCHEDULE

Whether you are coming alone or with a group, we offer a variety of charters to dive sites around Campbell River and Quadra Island.

Because we have to time our dives with the tides and currents, the schedule varies from day to day.

Please note that having a valid and up to date dive insurance is the responsibility of the Diver. We require proof of insurance.

We can accommodate up to 10 divers, and can provide a divemaster upon request.

If you'd like to schedule a charter on dates we don't have any booked, get in touch!

CONDITIONS

In the winter, we regularly have 30m/100ft visibility! In the summer, plankton blooms can cause visibility can drop to 10m/32ft.

The water temperature stays around 8 - 12 degrees year round.

The currents in Discovery Passage are a serious consideration on all of our courses and trips. The majority of diving we do here is drift diving with a live boat, where the boat drops you off at a certain point at the site, you drift with the current, and the boat picks you up where you surface.

For safety reasons we require that every diver brings along their own SMB (Surface Marker Buoy). We also require that less experienced divers are accompanied by a divemaster for a check dive (is also a great way to learn from a pro about what you can see underwater and to improve your cold water dive skills).

If you've never been drift diving before, we are more than happy to provide a divemaster as well!

MARINE LIFE

The marine life around Campbell River is vibrant and colourful, with walls of soft corals, sponges, and anemones. We often find schools and perch and rockfish, lingcod, nudibranchs, and in the summer the bull kelp grows in dense forests. On the surface, you may spot humpback whales, orcas, sealions, and harbour seals.

If you're lucky, you'll get to see our favourite animals such as Grunt Sculpins, Wolfeels, Giant Pacific Octopus, and Spiny Pacific Lumpsuckers!

If you have a camera setup, our boats are well equipped with storage and camera tanks.
