If you’ve wondered what happens underwater after the sun goes down, enrol in the PADI Night Diver Specialty course. If you’re lucky, you’ll get to see bioluminescent algae that makes the water glow blue or a Giant Pacific Octopus out for a late night snack!
Once you sign up for the course, your instructor will be in touch!
Knowledge Development: all theory may be completed at home through PADI eLearning or in the shop with your instructor.
Ocean Dives: scuba diving at night teaches you to pay attention to details you may overlook during the day. Over 3 ocean dives, you’ll learn:
- light handling and communication techniques
- Entering, exiting, and navigating in the dark
- Identifying how plants and animals differ or change behaviour at night
Minimum Age: 12 years old
Certification: minimum Advanced Open Water (or Jr. Advanced Open Water) certification or equivalent OR PADI Open Water (or Jr. Open Water) with PADI Navigation Specialty also qualify
