Knowledge development: complete all theory online at your own pace through PADI eLearning. Time commitment: 8-12 hours
Ocean Dives: Over one day in the ocean or lake, you'll put your new rescue skills to the test, and learn about search & recovery skills in an open water environment.
Emergency First Responder Add-On: The PADI Rescue course requires current First Aid/CPR training. This can be done by adding on the PADI EFR Course for only $99.99, or providing proof of equivalent training. Learn more about the PADI EFR Course
Minimum age: 12 years old
Certification: PADI Advanced Open Water (or Jr. Advanced Open Water) certification or equivalent

During your Rescue course, you will use basic scuba gear (BCD, regulator, tanks, weights, drysuit or wetsuit), plus a compass and dive computer.
We recommend investing in the following gear during or after your course:
Mask, snorkel, fins, boots, gloves, hood, and dive computer. These items have a specific fit to each diver, and having your own will make your experience more enjoyable and familiar.
