Knowledge Development: complete all theory at home through PADI eLearning or in the shop with your instructor. You will learn about types of drysuits, undergarments, how to take care of a suit, and the basics of diving a drysuit.
Confined Water: learn the basic skills of drysuit diving during one pool session. You will learn how to put on and take off your drysuit with minimal assistance, how to master your buoyancy, and safety procedures while diving a drysuit.
Ocean Dives: complete 2 ocean dives over 1 day in Discovery Passage, either from shore or off of our boat Ocean Guardian. Put your drysuit skills to the test while fine-tuning your buoyancy, weighting, all while experiencing the amazing cold-water diving we have on our doorstep!
Minimum age: 10 years old
Minimum Certification: minimum PADI Open Water (or Jr. Open Water) or equivalent
Medical: each student must complete a PADI medical form specifically for scuba diving. Click to view the PADI medical questionnaire
We provide all gear during the course at no extra cost.
On top of basic scuba gear, you will use a drysuit, hood, gloves, and boots to help keep you warm in our local waters.
We recommend investing in gear during or after your course. Certain items have a specific fit to each diver, and having your own will make your experience more enjoyable and familiar.
