Knowledge development:
complete all theory at home with either eLearning or a manual provided by us.

Ocean Dives: There are 5 ocean dives in the Advanced Open Water course, each an introduction into specific PADI specialties. Below are some of the dives you may complete during your course:

Peak Performance Buoyancy: learn to make your dives more relaxed and comfortable by properly weighting yourself and fine-tuning buoyancy and trim.
Navigation: take your compass navigation and observation skills to the next level! You will navigate a square search pattern and focus on underwater clues to improve your natural navigation.
Night Dive: experience the mysterious and alluring wonders of the underwater world when the sun goes down. Learn proper dive light techniques and how to navigate in the dark. If you’re lucky, you’ll get to see bioluminescent algae that makes the water glow blue or a Giant Pacific Octopus out for a late night snack!
Deep Dive: learn about nitrogen narcosis, gas management, and safety considerations while conducting a dive to 30m/100ft. You may get to see the ancient, deep-water Cloud Sponges that are found only in the Northern Pacific below 25m/80ft.
Wreck Dive: the wrecks in Discovery Passage are a window into the past. Whether they were sank purposefully like the HMCS Columbia or by accident like the May Island Ferry, each wreck is fascinating and impressive to explore. You will learn responsible wreck diving techniques and explore these artificial reefs that host incredible life below the surface.
